Character First Honorees: Pleasant Grove Middle School

The objective of Character First is to recognize middle school students who have displayed outstanding character traits during the previous grading period. Oaklawn Rotarians periodically honor two students from each Texas Middle School; Liberty Eylau School, Pleasant Grove Middle School, and North Heights Middle School. The students from each school are nominated by the faculty of their school.

Mark Ashby

Mark is an 8th grade student who participates in Boy’s Athletics and enjoys playing football, baseball, and basketball. He also enjoys hunting and participating in the First Baptist Church Youth Group (Fusion). Mark plans to attend the University of Arkansas to pursue a career in Dentistry. He is the son of Greg and Patty Ashby.

Breanna Jefferson

Breanna is an 8th grade student who plays the baritone in the Pleasant Grove Middle School Band. She is also a member of the 2011-2012 cheerleading squad for Pleasant Grove Middle School. She participates in the Heritage Baptist Youth Group (Streamline). Because she loves to read and write, Breanna intends to pursue a career in Journalism. She is the daughter of Lit and Jacinda Jefferson.

The Entertainment was provided by the Pleasant Grove Middle School Choral Ensemble.
