Character First: Texas Middle School

The objective of Character First is to recognize middle school students who have displayed outstanding character traits during the previous grading period. Oaklawn Rotarians periodically honor two students from each Texas Middle School; Liberty Eylau School, Pleasant Grove Middle School, and North Heights Middle School. The students from each school are nominated by the faculty of their school.

Neil Balasekaran

Neil is in seventh grade at TMS.  His parents are Ranga and Mitun Ghous Balasekaran.  He is on the STEM Academy and has made a tremendous impression on his teachers with his exemplary character.

Juana Cordova

Juana is in seventh grade at TMS.  Her parents are Reyna Sanchex De Cordova and Jose Cordova Sierra.  She is on the Health, Science, and Medicine Academy and works hard on a daily basis.  She is bilingual and enjoys soccer and her friends.

The Entertainment was provided by the Texas Middle School choir.
